Riggora™ RC Paper Airplane Kit

Welcome Aboard, Pilot.

Your kit has landed. Here is everything you need for your first flight and every flight after it.

Ready for Takeoff in 4 Steps

  1. 1

    Charge the Battery

Plug the flight battery into the USB cable and charge it fully before your first flight.

  2. 2

    Power the Remote

Insert 3 × AAA batteries into the remote and check that the throttle stick sits all the way down.

  3. 3

    Fold and Clip

Fold your first plane (The Dart is the easiest) and clip the power module under the wings, centered on the body.

  4. 4

    Pair and Take Off

Switch on the module and the remote, pair them as shown in the quick-start manual, then launch gently into the wind.

Fold Guide

How to Fold The Dart

Step 1 of 6
Crease the center

Fold the A4 sheet in half lengthwise, press a sharp crease, then unfold it.

Corners to center

Fold both top corners down so their edges meet on the center crease.

Edges to center again

Fold the new slanted edges to the center crease to make a sharp, narrow nose.

fold away from you
Fold in half

Fold the plane in half away from you along the center crease.

repeat on the other side
Make the wings

Fold each wing down so its top edge lines up with the bottom of the body. Repeat on the other side.

Clip and fly

Open the wings flat, clip on the power module following the quick-start manual and you are ready for takeoff.

Crease the center

Fold the A4 sheet in half lengthwise, press a sharp crease, then unfold it.

Corners to center

Fold both top corners down so their edges meet on the center crease.

Fold the nose down

Fold the top triangle down along the line where the flaps end.

Corners to center again

Fold the top corners to the center so they meet a little above the tip. Leave the small tip showing.

Lock it

Fold the small tip up over the flaps. This lock holds your glider together in flight.

leave a 2 cm (3/4 in) body
Fold and make wide wings

Fold in half away from you, then fold each wing down leaving a narrow 2 cm body.

Clip and glide

Clip on the power module following the quick-start manual. Fly on a calm day for long, smooth circles.

Start with a Dart

Fold The Dart up to step 4: crease the center, corners in, edges in, then fold in half.

leave a 1.5 cm (1/2 in) body
Fold the wings

Fold each wing down so its top edge meets the bottom of the body.

Add winglets

Fold about 1.5 cm of each wingtip straight up. Winglets keep the jet steady in sharp turns.

Bend the flaps

Gently bend the back edge of each wing up slightly. More bend means steeper climbs.

Clip and show off

Clip on the power module following the quick-start manual. Find a big open space and try tight turns.

your test bench
Start from a Dart

Fly a Dart a few times first. It is your baseline, so you can feel every change you make.

wider wings = more air time
Change one fold

Try wider wings for more air time or a narrower body for more speed. Change only one thing at a time.

winglets = stability
Tune the balance

Winglets add stability. Bent flaps add climb. Small changes make a big difference in the air.

Fly, compare, repeat

Fly each version, keep the winner and give it a name. Every sheet of paper is a new experiment.

Fly Like a Pro

Pick a Calm Day

Light breeze or no wind at all. Paper planes love still air.

Find Open Space

A park or field, away from trees, roads, power lines and people.

Launch Into the Wind

Give a gentle, level throw with a little throttle. No need to throw hard.

Easy on the Throttle

Start around half power. Small stick moves give you smooth, steady turns.

Trim Your Plane

Tiny bends make a big difference. Adjust one thing, fly, then adjust again.

  • Dives nose firstBend the back edges of both wings up slightly.
  • Climbs, then stallsFlatten the back edges a little or ease off the throttle.
  • Pulls to one sideBend the back edge of the opposite wing up slightly.
  • Wobbles in the airCenter the power module and make both wings even.

Quick Fixes

The remote won't connect

Put fresh AAA batteries in the remote. Switch both off, then turn them back on close together and repeat the pairing step from the quick-start manual.

The propellers won't spin

Charge the flight battery fully, make sure the plug is pushed all the way in and clear any hair or grass from the motor shafts.

It won't climb

Charge the battery, bend the back edges of the wings up a touch and check that the paper is not damp or crumpled. A fresh, crisp fold always flies better.

Flights feel short

Charge fully before every session and let the battery cool down for about 10 minutes after flying before you recharge it. Cold weather also shortens flight time.

My plane is torn or bent

That's what the paper is for. Pull off the power module, fold a fresh plane and you are back in the air in 30 seconds.

Battery & Safety Care

  • Charge only with the included USB cable and unplug when full.
  • Never leave the battery charging unattended.
  • Keep fingers, hair and loose clothing away from spinning propellers.
  • Younger pilots should always fly with an adult nearby.
  • Store the kit indoors at room temperature, away from water.
